The State Road 7 Community Redevelopment Area is poised for dramatic redevelopment over the next ten years. Two major projects, the Broward County Rregional Park and the Georgetown Residential Community, are under construction, and six more are in various stages of planning and regulatory review.
The Area, at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and State Road 7, two of the most-heavily traveled roadways in Broward County, Florida, is being developed as a 24-hour arts, sports, entertainment, and cultural destination. The Area will attract residents of South Florida, tourists visiting the beaches of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and excursions from cruise ship passengers at Port Everglades.
The end result will be a walkable, urban downtown that incorporates the best of New Urbanist design principals while fulfilling the City of Lauderhill's mission to be the premier City to live, work, and play.
